Vehicular Networks Dynamic Grouping and Re-Orchestration Scenarios

Abstract: The topological structure in vehicular communication networks presents challenges for sustaining network connectivity on the road. Highway dynamics, for example, encourage the need for an adaptive and flexible structure to handle the rapid events of vehicles joining and leaving the road. Such demand aligns with the advancement made in software-defined networks and related dynamic network re-orchestration. This paper discusses the development of a virtual model that represents the operation of an autonomous veh… Show more

“…Since some of the topics that have been discussed are related to clustering methods, we need to discuss how offering a backup node within the cluster can ensure less latency and further reliability. In [133,134], dynamic self-healing vehicle network organization methods considering the deviation of key network connection components were proposed. The design ideas of these methods can be applied to the A2S integrated MIoT with mobile nodes.…”

“…In addition, the RSSI data are collected at different sampling rates with various number of node scenarios to test the delivery of packets and determine if there is any packet loss. This is mainly to evaluate the capacity of the coordinator (cluster head) node, tested virtually [8,9]. The modified values of the RF transmission power of the sensor nodes based on designed indoor and outdoor scenarios can reflect the mobility aspect in the network.…”
