Gibberelin (Gibberellic acid) is a plant hormone that is responsible for the seed germination process. Germination is the process by which an inactive embryo grows and eventually forms a seedling and subsequently produces a seedling. A total of 50 seeds of Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) which have been stored for 12 months and 24 months were soaked in different concentrations of Gibberellin solution (0 mg/L; 2.5 mg/L, 5.0 mg/L, 7.5 mg/L, dan 10.0 mg/L) for 24 hours and then sown in a bath soil-sand-husk charcoal (1:1:1 v/v) germination. Since 10 days after planting the seeds, observations and calculations were made on the number of seeds that germinated, the number of abnormal germinations, and the number of days when 50 percent of the seeds germinated. The results showed that the number of seeds and the speed of seed germination were proportional to the concentration of Gibberellins. Seeds treated with high concentration of Gibberellin (9 mg/L) had the highest number of germination seeds compared to seeds with lower concentration of Gibberellin. Without giving Gibberellins from the outside, Moringa seeds that have been worn out (stored 1-2 years) were not able to germinate properly.

Desa Cileles merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat yang memiliki iklim dan tanah yang cocok bagi pertumbuhan tanaman kelor. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memperkenalkan teknik perbanyakan dan berbagai manfaat tanaman kelor sebagai sumbangan ilmu kepada masyarakat Desa Cileles untuk mengembangkan tanaman kelor secara lebih luas. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penjajagan, penyuluhan, pendampingan dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Materi penyuluhan diantaranya berbagai manfaat tanaman kelor, teknik perbanyakan tanaman kelor baik secara generatif maupun vegetatif. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah persiapan bahan tanam kelor, penanaman kelor di pekarangan rumah masing-masing, pengolahan daun kelor sebagai bahan obat dan campuran berbagai aneka makanan sehat. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah peserta pelatihan menerima dan menerapkan dengan baik ilmu dan materi mengenai teknik budidaya tanaman kelor yang disampaikan pada saat penyuluhan, kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan mengenai cara mengolah daun kelor menjadi makanan sehat dan berkhasiat obat memberikan tambahan ilmu kepada peserta pelatihan untuk memanfaatkan daun kelor, kegiatan ini dapat memotivasi masyarakat untuk menanam tanaman kelor pada pekarangan rumah masing-masing dengan pendampingan secara berkala.

This activity was motivated by the low economic status of the village community, which is located far from the center of the district capital. On the other hand, there is potential for the development of kelor (Moringa) in the village. This community service was carried out with the aim of improving the community's economy through Moringa agribusiness in Pilangrejo Village, Nglipar District, Gunung Kidul Regency. This activity was carried out in January-June 2020, in Danyangan Hamlet, Pilangrejo Village, Nglipar District, Gunungkidul Regency. This activity was attended by the people of Danyangan Hamlet, both men and women. The male participants were those who make a living as farmers. While the female participants were housewives who do not have any permanent livelihood. The number of primary participants were 10 people who were community leaders in Pilangrejo Village. The implementation stages of activities include kelor planting and seedling, training on post-harvest processing, and providing production tool. The implementation of this activity is based on subsystems in agribusiness, namely the upstream (input) subsystem, on-farm subsystem and downstream subsystem. The results of this activity can be said that the piloting of Moringa agribusiness can be one solution that can be done in an effort to improve the economy of the community in Danyangan Hamlet, Pilangrejo Village, Gunung Kidul Regency. The benefits that can be obtained in this activity include the sale of Moringa powder and the use of Moringa as the main menu in the community's food pattern.
