Vibro-Tactile Implicit Interactions: So What?

Abstract: Tactile feedback is a powerful modality for designing humancomputer interfaces. Here we explore new ways of communication through tactile senses that can be perceived implicitly. This paper outlines the preliminary phase of research the goal of which is to investigate to what extent a vibro-tactile stimulus can be meaningfully communicated on an unconscious/implicit level of perception.
