Visible-UVC upconversion polymer films for prevention of microbial infection

Abstract: A wound dressing was prepared using upconversion powder (YSO-Pr) combined with polymer (PVA/SA) to convert visible light to UVC, demonstrating significant inhibition of a wide range of bacteria with no apparent side effects on human cells.
