Abstract:An enzymatic electrochemical biosensor for catechol detection based on silver nanowires (AgNWs), has been developed. The employment of AgNWs was essential to improve the electron transfer in comparison with that offered by an ITO substrate. AgNWs’ electrocatalytic properties and high affinity with biomolecules make them desirable for constructing biosensors. Combining nanomaterials with enzymes reduces insulating effects, due to the high-efficient electrical activity from the active site of the enzyme to the e… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
