Abstract:This chapter applies the ideas developed in the first two chapters to the notion of race in America and in the psychology practiced in the West. It defines race and racism, using historical and psychological lenses. It applies binary thinking to the development of racism and explores the history of race thinking in the psy disciplines. It applies the concept of complicity to racialized binary thinking through the film Black Panther.
