Wave propagation in an initially stressed rotating thermo-diffusive medium with two-temperature and micro-concentrations

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the reflection of plane waves in an initially stressed rotating thermoelastic diffusive medium with micro-concentrations and two-temperature. Design/methodology/approach A two-dimensional model of generalized thermoelasticity is considered. The governing equations are transformed into the non-dimensional forms using the dimensionless variables. Then, potential functions are introduced for the decoupling of the waves. Further, appropriate boundary conditions are a… Show more

“…They eliminated the conundrum of infinite speed propagation of thermal waves by incorporating the acceleration of the thermal and conductive temperatures. Sheoran et al (2020) studied the wave propagation in an initially stressed rotating thermo-diffusive medium with CTT. Bassiouny and Rajagopalan (2020) investigated the thermoelastic model exposed to thermal stress in the framework of HTT theory using fractional derivatives.…”

“…Hobiny and Abbas (2020) used the dual-phase-lag model to investigate the effects of phase lags on thermo-mechanical interactions in porous media. Sheoran et al (2020) explored the propagation of plane waves in a rotating thermoelastic diffusive media with micro-concentrations and two temperatures in an initially strained rotating thermoelastic diffusive medium. Carcione et al (2019b) cracked the wave propagation issue with a direct grid procedure established on the Fourier pseudospectral operator and an explicit Crank–Nicolson time-integration approach, using the LS theory.…”

“…A new nonlocal theory of generalized thermoelastic materials with voids and fractional derivative heat transmission was presented by Bachher and Sarkar (2019). To explore the two-dimensional deformations in a nonlocal rotating thermoelastic media with temperature-dependent properties, Sheoran et al (2020) used the normal mode technique. In the context of dual-phase-lag theory, Sur (2022) investigated the impact of a magnetic field on a nonlocal memory-dependent piezothermoelastic medium.…”
