Nagari Batuhampar has several tourist attractions planned as object tourist destinations in the strategic plan. However, publication and presentation on social media are less effective in promoting the unique characteristics of tourist attractions. This research aims to identify the distribution of tourist destination objects in Nagari Batuhampar, followed by comprehensive information. The type of research used is descriptive survey research with the waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system analysis, system implementation, system testing, system evaluation, operation, and maintenance. Data collecting techniques include observation using GPS and documentation, interviews to obtain information for web development, and questionnaires. Furthermore, the built-in data application QGIS 3.32.3” Lima” is open source. WebGIS, built using the Database Management System (DBMS) approach, is designed as software to manage big data. Big data is meant to be a collection of lots of data tailored to the project being carried out, such as mapping the distribution of public facilities and village potential. In this research, DBMS focuses on spatial data and religious and supporting tourism attributes. This is focused on data on religious and supporting tourism attributes. The result found that historical religious tourist attractions dominated the distribution of attractions in Nagari Batuhampar. The WebGIS of Tourist Destination Object was constructed using a waterfall method that was effectively created. This development was conducted through system evaluation tests, resulting in most respondents being satisfied with the process's performance.

The Montesinho Natural Park (MNP) is one of the largest protected areas in Portugal, covering an area of 74,225 hectares in the extreme northeast of the country. MNP hosts a wide range of endemic and highly threatened species and priority habitats such as oak forests, meadows, grasslands, and bushlands. However, human activities continue to pose a significant challenge to conservation. To address this challenge, the MontObEO project aims to implement an early warning system to identify changes in habitat suitability and species extinction risk over time and space in the MNP, using a time series of satellite remote sensing data and ecological niche models (SRS-ENMs). Herein, we compiled biodiversity data for five major taxonomic groups (flora-vascular plants, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals) and yearly remote sensing products from MODIS sensors between 2000 and 2021. We conducted all the satellite data processing and modelling procedures in Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform using the MaxEnt algorithm. We measured trends in species’ habitat suitability with the Mann-Kendall test, a non-parametric test for monotonic trend detection in a time series. Those species with stronger decreasing trends will have higher extinction risks. Additionally, we developed a ready-to-use web geographic information system (Web GIS) to map individual species distributions with a high spatial resolution (1 km). This project provides tools for biodiversity conservation in the MNP to help in the decision-making process for conservation planning and could serve as a model for other national or international protected areas.

Estimating fish stocks, including their distribution and density, plays a vital role in the management of capture fisheries. Hydroacoustic technology is widely utilized for fish stock estimation study. In September 2022, BRIN and IPB University conducted hydroacoustic data measurement in the Banggai Sea as part of the “Banggai Upwelling Dynamics Exploration and Experiment” to estimate fish stocks. Very large fish (>58 cm) has a density of 12,452 fish km-2. The spatial distribution of fish occurs in the eastern waters of Banggai Island and the northern waters of Taliabu Island. The most significant potential is the epipelagic layer (0 to -200 meters), with very small-sized fish having the highest density, followed by large-sized and small-sized fish. To summarize the analysis results of fish density distribution , a GIS-Dashboard is utilized. This online platform integrates various maps and charts, offering an engaging and easily understandable visualization of the information.
