Weekend Arthroplasty: A Longer Inpatient Stay?

Abstract: As pressures mount on efficiency, hip and knee arthroplasty surgery is increasingly being performed during weekends. Despite the growing trend for weekend orthopaedic surgery, there are virtually no published data on the effect of weekend operating on the length of hospital stay (LOS).
