“…The most common subtype is the well-differentiated type, which has a favorable prognosis, while the dedifferentiated subtype is associated with a poor prognosis [ 2 ]. In this study, the patient was diagnosed with the well-differentiated subtype, and our literature review showed that out of 13 patients with the same subtype [ 1 , 6 8 , 10 , 16 , 17 , 19 ], ten had no recurrence after surgical intervention [ 6 8 , 10 , 17 , 19 ]. This finding indicates a positive prognosis for this subtype.…”

“…Ultimately, a core needle or surgical biopsy is performed to establish a definitive diagnosis [ 19 ]. In our literature, 11 patients were found to have tumors of a giant size, equal to or greater than 20 cm [ 1 , 3 , 5 8 , 10 , 16 , 19 ], while 13 had tumors of a relatively large size, equal to or greater than 10 cm [ 2 , 10 14 , 17 19 ], and 4 had small tumors, less than 10 cm in size[ 2 , 9 , 19 ]. Our case, on the other hand, featured a giant tumor that measured 25 cm.…”

“…It should be mentioned that only 8 historical WDLs (6.8%) were analyzed by FISH, including 6 MDM2 -amplified cases, 1 case with equivocal MDM2 -FISH results, and 1 CPM -nonamplified case ( 10 , 12 , 20 , 31 34 ). In our study, all 18 tested WDLs were 12q13-15 amplified, including 17 MDM2 -amplified cases and 1 FRS2- amplified/ MDM2- nonamplified/ CDK4- nonamplified tumor (case 4).…”

“…It is characterized by asymptomatic soft tissue masses that can occur throughout the body, with subcutaneous lipomas being more common. Ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are important methods for its diagnosis, but the gold standard is still based on histological results (2,3). Lipoma of the thymus is an extremely rare and slow-growing benign tumor, mostly originating from the anterior mediastinum (4).…”
