Abstract

Sequence stratigraphic interpretation of 2,and 3 Keywords: Depositional sequence, System tracts, Palynomorph, Well-Log, Sequence stratigraphy, Foraminifera. Contribution/ OriginalityThe study contributes to the existing literature on the Niger Delta Basin by integrating sedimentology, biostratigraphy, well logging and sequence stratigraphy to detect depositional sequences that can serve as reservoirs to substantially increase the oil reserves in the basin. It documents eighteen sequences based mainly on palynological signature in the basin.
