As the core driving force of the new round of informatization development and industrial revolution, the disruptive achievements of artificial intelligence (AI) are rapidly and comprehensively infiltrating into various fields of human activities. Although technologies and applications of AI have been widely studied and factors that affect AI adoption are identified in existing literature, the impact of success factors on AI adoption remains unknown. Accordingly, this paper proposes a framework to explore the impacts of success factors on AI adoption in telecom industry by integrating the technology, organization, and environment (TOE) framework and diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory. Particularly, this framework consists of factors regarding external environment, organizational capabilities, and innovation attributes of AI. The framework is empirically tested with data collected by surveying telecom companies in China. Structural equation modeling is applied to analyze the data. The study provides support for firms' decision-making and resource allocation regarding AI adoption.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to discuss the emerging and innovative technologies which integrate together to form smart libraries. Smart libraries are the new generation libraries, which work with the amalgamation of smart technologies, smart users and smart services. Design/methodology/approach An extensive review of literature on “smart libraries” was carried to ascertain the emerging technologies in the smart library domain. Clarivate Analytic’s Web of Science and Sciverse Scopus were explored initially to ascertain the extent of literature published on Smart Libraries and their varied aspects. Literature was searched against various keywords like smart libraries, smart technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), Electronic resource management (ERM), Data mining, Artificial intelligence (AI), Ambient intelligence, Blockchain Technology and Augmented Reality. Later on, the works citing the literature on Smart Libraries were also explored to visualize a broad spectrum of emerging concepts about this growing trend in libraries. Findings The study confirms that smart libraries are becoming smarter with the emerging smart technologies, which enhances their working capabilities and satisfies the users associated with them. Implementing the smart technologies in the libraries has bridged the gap between the services offered by the libraries and the rapidly changing and competing needs of the humans. Practical implications The paper highlights the emerging smart technologies in smart libraries and how they influence the efficiency of libraries in terms of users, services and technological integration. Originality/value The paper tries to highlight the current technologies in the smart library set-ups for the efficient working of library set-ups.

Augmented Intelligence is a system model which centre on the partnership between human general intelligence & common sense with Artificial Intelligence’s exceptional processing speed and computation power to get better cognitive performance. This study can shed light on Augmented Intelligence and how it can be implemented so that we have heroes working at the peak human level possible, suffer fewer casualties, and also have equal footing in terms of technology and military strength. Nepal being open bordered country has a great threat from the border issues and with ever-rising crime and challenges in various cities creating intra threat. The study analyses to overcome this geographical challenge, operational problems, the rise of conflicts, and establish better policies, faced by security personnel with technology that actually empowers all the brave soldiers and Police officers to maintain security from both external and internal risk. In the ever-evolving technology limitations of human beings can be catastrophic, but replacing it all with Artificial Intelligence is not a practical solution as well because it would be giving the third entity all the ability that might revolt against humans themselves. The article can be summed up as, research on the practicality of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Intelligence in national security and figure out a way for its legal adaptation. The availability of various case studies, surveys, research on various existing technology, and research papers published in renowned journals and publications has made this study possible.
