When electors raised their voices: political representation in nineteenth-century Spain from a conceptual perspective

Abstract

He has previously been a postdoctoral fellow at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2019-2020), a visiting researcher at the European University Institute (2014), and an invited researcher at Sorbonne Université (2019). His areas of interest include political representation, political corruption and parliamentary studies during the nineteenth century. He has authored several articles in international peer-reviewed journals. His forthcoming publication is a book titled 'Popular Agency and Politicisation in Nineteenth-century Europe: Beyond the vote', edited by Diego Palacios Cerezales and Oriol Luján in Palgrave Studies in Political History.
