Abstract:The structural response of masonry/concrete structures depends upon the load-carrying mechanism and subsequently deformations produced by loads carried. In masonry/concrete structures, identification of the stress/strain imposing stress conditions and strain hardening/softening makes the structural response more complicated. Elastic damage models or elastic-plastic constitutive laws are inadequate to simulate masonry/concrete response under high strain-rate loadings. Further, irreversible or plastic strain can… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
