Work and wellbeing in remote Australia: Moving beyond punitive ‘workfare’

Abstract: Australia's remote-focused ‘workfare’ program (Community Development Program, CDP) has produced overwhelmingly negative impacts, most of which have been borne by its ∼80% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.
