Creative thinking skills are the set of skills that enable us to produce original solutions in a wide range from personal and daily problems to corporate and social problems. Creative thinking skills have an important place in the field of education, as in all other fields. The positive effect of education provided by qualified individuals on creativity is an undeniable reality. In this context, it is also important to determine the creative thinking skills of teacher candidates, who will play an important role in the next generation's acquisition of 21st-century skills. For these reasons, the main purpose of this study is to determine the creative personality traits of music teacher candidates and to examine them in terms of various variables. For this purpose, descriptive survey model, which is one of the research methods, was used in the research. The sample of the research consists of 264 music teacher candidates studying in different regions of Turkey and selected by cluster sampling method. "Creative Personality Traits Scale" was used to collect data. Basic descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to the analysis results, it has been determined that the level of creative personality traits of music teacher candidates is high in general and sub-dimensions. Creative personality traits differed significantly in sub-dimensions in terms of gender, type of high school graduated, grade level, and instrument, it was determined that there was no significant difference for the age group variable. At the end of the research, a discussion was held on the research findings, relevant theory, and practical implications, and suggestions were presented.
