Yarn End Retrieving from Bobbin in Axisymmetric Accelerated Flow

Abstract: This paper discusses the optimum condition for retrieving a broken yarn end on a bobbin by air flow. Comparison is made between calculated results by Finite Element Method and those experimentally obtained by models.Good agreement is obtained between both results to show that retrieving yarn ends is more dependent on air flow acceleration, especially on acceleration variation, than air flow speed.
