ACUTE LUNG INJURYAcute lung injury (ALI) and ARDS are significant contributors to morbidity and mortality in patients admitted to the intensive care unit. It is not surprising therefore that the treatment and monitoring of ALI and ARDS were key themes in Respirology over the course of the last year.
