“…Porter and Donthu (2006) and Munnukka (2007) found in their studies that characteristics of innovation and acceptance of any technology may get impacted by demographic variables such as age, education, gender, etc. The same type of study has been carried out in Korea (Jun et al, 2008), the USA (Dewan et al, 2009) and Finland (Laukkanen & Pasanen, 2008) for the acceptance of mobile technology. Venkatesh et al (2003) also elucidated the effect of age and education, as a control variable in his study, and established the importance of age on the consumer's opinion and contentment about mobile technology.…”

“…The literature review suggests these factors affects the use and adoption of the MbUS; therefore, the factors are included in the MbUS framework in this study. Nevertheless, the theory does not have the demographic variables empirically supported in innovation adoption by Dewan et al (2009), Laukkanen & Cruz (2012), Laukkanen & Pasanen (2005) and Wessels & Drennan (2010). Therefore, demographic variables are included as factors in the conceptual framework here, as a way of strengthening the research presented.…”

“…Trust can be defined as the propensity to rely on another party or organization under circumstances that involve reliance and risk (Makongoro, n.d.). The connection that exists between the two variables is that perceived risk is seen to be a restriction on use, whereas trust, in the context of this discussion, refers to the willingness to risk anything negative happening (Dewan & Dewan, 2009). By using mobile banking, the user is already taking a risk and accepting the outcome (Pala et al, 2019).…”
