Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles as Diagnostic Tool for Cancer Cells

Abstract: ZnO nanoparticles have various characteristics that make them attractive to be used in many medical applications like a cancer diagnosis. It can be used as a nanoprobe for targeting different types of cancer cells in vitro as a cancer cell recognition system. The present study aims to investigate the permeability of ZnO NPs through both normal and cancerous cell lines in humans. In vitro experiments for ZnO NPs inside the environment of living cells have been described, which would contribute to the visualizat… Show more

“…There does not appear to be a statistically significant variation in mean age, mean body surface area, gender distribution, education level distribution, and marital status distribution between the various study groups; also, the groups don't show differences among them in the occupations that their participants at p-value <0.05, as shown in table (1). As shown in table (3) and figure (4), there was not a significant difference between the study groups in terms of either acute or delayed vomiting and total vomiting control.…”

“…Extensive evidence suggests that nanoparticles (NPs) enter normal and cancer cells at different rates and accumulate in the cytoplasm. 65 The physiological characteristics of cancer cells contribute to increased plasma membrane permeability for various compounds, which is necessary to sustain high levels of cancer cell metabolism. We assume that differences in ZnO NPs cytotoxicity was determined by the metabolic activity of the cells.…”

“…To a greater extent than the inhibitory impacts of a drug alone, the infusibility of the objective through surroundings determines the efficacy and areas of inhibition [43]. There may also be interference from factors such as the length of incubation, the number of inoculated cells, and the extent to which the inoculated cells come into contact with the agar [44]. Materials' antimicrobial impacts can be compared under similar experimental conditions [45,46] if almost all relevant factors are appropriately managed, allowing for proportional and reproducible results.…”
