Many drugs, such as the anti-inflammatories ibuprofen [ 202 ] and zaltoprofen [ 203 ], the diuretic piretanide [ 204 ], and the vitamin B3 (nicotinic acid) [ 205 ], among others, were manipulated by intercalation into LDH to overcome the low solubility challenge.
