γ-MnO2 Synthesized from Raw Ore for Protonic Solid-Battery

Abstract: Intercalating γ-MnO2 is synthesized for protonic solid-state battery by chemical route using raw ore. Manganese sulfate obtained by leaching of raw ore precipitated as hydroxide. Later, manganese hydroxide on air-oxidation converted into manganese dioxide. The performance of the synthesized cathode material tested by fabricating protonic solid-state battery and subsequently discharged at constant load condition, indicated intercalation of protons.
