The structure of amorphous Ge15Te85
has been studied by neutron and x-ray diffraction. Experimental data have been modelled
simultaneously with the reverse Monte Carlo simulation method. The contrast between
structure factors together with the application of some plausible physical constraints
allowed the separation of the three partial pair correlation functions and determination of
Ge and Te local environment.
The structure of liquid Ge 15 Te 85 , Ge 25 Te 75 and Ge 33 Te 67 alloys has been studied by neutronand X-ray diffraction. Datasets obtained by the two techniques have been modelled simultaneously with the reverse Monte Carlo simulation method. As a result, the first coordination numbers and nearest neighbour distances for the studied alloys were estimated. On the base of the experimental data, Ge-Ge bonding appears to be present in liquid Ge 25
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
