We have developed a Monte Carlo generator for simulating charmonium J/ and (2S) inclusive decay. In the model, charmonium decay via gluons is described by the QCD partonic theory, and the partonic hadronization is handled by the LUND model. Extended C-and G-parity conservation are assumed and abnormal suppression effects of charmonium decay are included. This model reproduces the properties of hadronic events in the charmonium inclusive decay, such as the branching ratios of hadronic resonance, the ratios of stable hadrons and the radiative products, and as the global properties of hadronic events.
Using 116.1 fb(-1) of data collected by the BABAR detector, we present an analysis of xi(c)(0) production in B decays and from the cc continuum, with the xi(c)(0) decaying into omega- K+ and xi- pi+ final states. We measure the ratio of branching fractions B(xi(c)(0) --> omega- K+)/B(xi(c)(0) --> xi- pi+) spectrum is measured on and 40 MeV below the upsilon(4S) resonance. From these spectra the branching fraction product B(B --> xi(c)(0)X) x B(xi(c)(0) --> xi- pi+) is measured to be (2.11 +/- 0.19 +/- 0.25) x 10(-4), and the cross-section product sigma(e+ e- --> xi(c)(0)X) x B(xi(c)(0) --> xi- pi+) from the continuum is measured to be (388 +/- 39 +/- 41) fb at a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV.
The e + e − → pp cross-section is determined over a range of pp masses, from threshold to 4.5 GeV/c 2 , by studying the e + e − → ppγ process. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 232 fb −1 , collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring, at an e + e − center-of-mass energy of 10.6 GeV. The mass dependence of the ratio of electric and magnetic form factors, |GE /GM |, is measured for pp masses below 3 GeV/c 2 ; its value is found to be significantly larger than 1 for masses up to 2.2 GeV/c 2 . We also measure J/ψ → pp and ψ(2S) → pp branching fractions and set an upper limit on Y (4260) → pp production and decay.
We search for the production of doubly charmed baryons in e e ÿ annihilations at or near a center-ofmass energy of 10.58 GeV, in a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 232 fb ÿ1 recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. We search for cc baryons in the final states c K ÿ and 0 c , and cc baryons in the final states c K ÿ and 0 c. We find no evidence for the production of doubly charmed baryons.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
