Abstract:Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects 10%-13% of the global population, necessitating innovative treatments. Empagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, shows promise by reducing glycated hemoglobin and benefiting kidney and cardiovascular health.
