Abstract:Sporadic motor neuron diseases (MNDs),
such as amyotrophic lateral
sclerosis (ALS), can be caused by spontaneous genetic mutations. However,
many sporadic cases of ALS and other debilitating neurodegenerative
diseases (NDDs) are believed to be caused by environmental factors,
