1,3-Dialkylimidazolium modified clay sorbents for perchlorate removal from water

Abstract: Clay modified using the 1-hexadecyl-3-methylimidazolium cation (C16-clay) shows perchlorate adsorption of 15.6 mg g−1 accompanied by a conformational change and decrease in d-spacing.
