Abstract: The kinetics of the photolysis of substituted 1,2-dihydroquinolines (DHQ) in micellar solutions was studied by steady-state and flash photolysis. The photolysis mechanism depends dramatically on the location of DHQ molecules in micelles, which is governed by the surfactant nature.
