1515 Portal Vein Thrombosis After Laparoscopic Sigmoid Colon Resection for Recurrent Diverticulitis

Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) following laparoscopic surgery is a rare complication. PVT after laparoscopic colorectal surgery is usually associated with inflammatory conditions like IBD and is more likely to occur after total proctocolectomy and in presence of postoperative intra-abdominal infection.
