Thrombocytopenia and lactic acidosis: 2 case reportsIn a retrospective study of 86 patients, two patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described, who developed thrombocytopenia or lactic acidosis during treatment with linezolid. Both the patients had been receiving linezolid [routes, dosages and indications not stated]. Subsequently, one patient developed thrombocytopenia and lactic acidosis, whereas the other patient developed lactic acidosis, which were related to linezolid [duration of treatment to reactions onset and outcomes not stated]. Thereafter, both patients started receiving alternative therapy with tedizolid.Smith B, et al.
