1834 Mechanical Characteristics of Connecting Shaft with Teeth Subjected to Bending Moments

Abstract

In this study ， stress distribution and de偽 ation at the joining p 飢 of the connecting sha 丘 with tceth subjected to extemal bending moment w ¢ re investigated by using 3D − FEM analysis ． Those results were compared to 血 e resu 耽s under tensile and compressive leads ， to examine 血 e e 蹶 s of 山 e difference of ］ oad configuration on the mechanical characteristics ． To Gonfiml the validity of analytioal results ， we perfbrmed 3 − points bending test ancl measured the strain distribution at the joining part ． In addition ， effects of rotational arigles in the circumferential direction ef the conneCting shaft ， that is ， the effects of directions of the bending moments acting on thejoining part on m hanical characteristics were examined ， Key Mords：FEM ， Stress concentration ， Connecting shaft ， Bending moment ， Stress analysis
