19-Hydroxyandrostenedione in Human Ovarian Vein Measured by GC-MS

Abstract: Nineteen-hydroxyandrostenedione (19-OHA) is considered to be an obligatory intermediate of estrogen synthesis. To clarify the role of 19-OHA in the human ovary, the following experiments were undertaken. Ovarian and peripheral vein blood in mid follicular and luteal phase were obtained from 14 women during gynecological surgery.
