Abstract: Neuroendocrine circuits underlying stress integration and systemic fuel homeostasis are substantially intertwined. Accordingly, metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes have a high incidence of co-morbidity with stress-associated psychological disorders like anxiety and depression.
