Abstract:High levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS: superoxide, hydroxyl, hydrogen peroxide, nitric oxide, peroxynitrile) endanger sperm motility, viability, and function by interaction with membrane lipids, proteins, and nuclear and mitochondrial DNA (Sikka 2004 J.
