Abstract:BackgroundExtensively drug-resistant (XDR) P. aeruginosa (PA), defined as resistant to ≥ 1 agents in all classes of antibiotics except two classes, limits therapeutic options to more toxic agents such as aminoglycosides (AMG) and polymyxins.
