Abstract: BackgroundHead and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is composed of a heterogeneous group of tumors arising trough environmental carcinogens or infection by human papillomavirus (HPV). Treatment interventions such as immunotherapy and targeted therapy have shown clinical benefit in HNSCC patients.
