Abstract: Introduction Controversy exists surrounding the efficacy of the UK screening programme for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). Method Clinical records were reviewed in children who were treated surgically for DDH. Demographic data, age and mode of presentation, and surgical treatments were analysed, as well as outcomes, re-operation rate and AVN incidence.
