Abstract:This study aimed to investigate Egyptian date pits' potential to remove a cationic dye, specifically methylene blue (MB), from aqueous solutions. Characteristics of methylene blue and interaction between methylene blue and Egyptian date pits were characterized using the Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, scanning electron microscope, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis.
