2D-Coordination polymers based on 1H-indazole-4-carboxylic acid and transition metal ions: magnetic, luminescence and biological properties

Abstract: Five novel multifunctional coordination polymers (CPs) based on 1H-indazole-4-carboxylic acid are reported. These complexes, the first examples of CPs with this novel ligand, show interesting magnetic, luminescence and biological properties.

“…The values obtained for the α and λ parameters are also in agreement with other high spin Co 2+ structures in the literature. The Δ parameter is in the upper limit for this model, which is compatible with a highly distorted octahedral environment of the metal ion, as described in the structural section. Since this model is based on different empirical expressions depending on the sign of the Δ parameter, we have also fitted the experimental data with the expression considering positive values of Δ (Figure S5 in the Supporting Information).…”

“…In a comparative scale, the ligand spectrum shows two well-defined maxima (not that easily identified for the compounds) and relatively higher intensity (Figure S2, SI). It is worth noticing that the observed luminescence resembles to that shown by other previously reported CPs containing other isomers of indazolecarboxylates [35,36]. must be attributed to the fact that 2 possesses the protonated form of the ligand (HL whereas it is completely deprotonated (L 2− ) in 1.…”
