Abstract:Pentagonal two‐dimensional (2D) materials are notable for unique properties derived from their Cairo pentagonal tiling topology. This study explores the thermoelectric potential of exfoliated penta‐palladium‐phosphorus‐sulfur (PdPS) atomic layers, an air‐stable 2D semiconductor with a puckered pentagonal low‐symmetry structure, grown via chemical vapor transport (CVT). Thickness‐dependent in‐plane electrical conductivity (σ) and thermoelectric power factor (PF) of PdPS are investigated from 20–380 K, showing a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
