Abstract

Halitosis is the unpleasant breath emitted from a person's mouth regardless of whether the odorous substances in the breath originate from oral or non-oral sources.Purpose: to assess the relation of subjective oral factors and self-reported halitosis among adults living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Materials and methods:A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 3000 adults. The sample was randomly and equally selected from the five locations in Riyadh (east, west, north, south and center). Data was statistically analyzed using Chi square test at 95% confidence (p<0.05).
