3.1: Force‐induced Tunable Lens for Dark‐zone Compensation in Stretchable Display

Abstract: Lens array is an important component for optimizing display performances. In this paper, we further explore the lens array structure for future stretchable displays. This work proposed the force‐induced tunable lens with an adjustable diopter triggered by applied strain. Furthermore, we introduced an optical compensation method to solve the dark zone problem with this tunable lens. The optical simulation result shows the feasibility of this method used in a display array.
