3-[2-(3-Nitrophenyl)hydrazin-1-ylidene]pentane-2,4-dione

Abstract: The title compound, C11H11N3O4, crystallizes with three independent but conformationally similar molecules in the asymmetric unit. The plane through the pentane-2,4-dione moiety of the molecule is inclined at angles of 10.1 (1), 10.6 (1) and 17.4 (1)° with regard to the respective arene ring. In the crystal, the molecules are connected via Carene—H...Onitro and Carene—H...O=C interactions into supramolecular sheets. Molecules of consecutive sheets are linked by Cmethyl—H...O bonds.
