3-Allyl-1-methyl-1H-benzotriazol-3-ium iodide

Abstract: Key indicators: single-crystal X-ray study; T = 100 K; mean (C-C) = 0.006 Å; R factor = 0.035; wR factor = 0.066; data-to-parameter ratio = 21.9.In the crystal structure of 1-methyl-3-allyl benzotriazolium iodide, C 10 H 12 N 3 + ÁI À , centrosymmetric dimers of coplanar cations are -stacked with an interplanar distance of 3.453 (6) Å . The iodide anions are situated above and below the formally positive charged triazolium rings. Related literature

“…The ionic liquids (molten salts) were prepared as mentioned in the literature (22)(23)(24)(25)(26), the ionic liquid 1,4-dimethylpiperidinium iodide [MMPip]I was prepared through the reaction of 4-methylpiperidine dissolved in absolute ethanol with the gradual addition of methyl iodide with continuous stirring for two hours with cooling, the reaction is exothermic. At the end of the reaction, evaporation followed by a rotary evaporator at 80 °C concentrated the solution and removed the remaining solvent.…”
