Abstract

Recently usage of small ・ scalc waste gasification system fbr powcr gencration is rapid ！ y gfow ・ ing． Gas重 fication of so 夏 id wastcs produces low − caloric gascs LCG which contain a low concentration of hydrogen ． Aim ofthis study is effectiv ¢ utilization of LCG in a diesel engine used fbr power generation ． Hcre ， effects of amount and composltion of LCG on cngine perfbrmance and emissions a 爬 parametrically investigated by addition ofhydrogcn −nitrogcn mixture into the intake gas of enginc ． Thc results indicate that optirnal usagc ofLCG improVes the fuel consumption and emis − sions ofthe engine ．
