Abstract:We investigated 10‐(4‐phenylphenyl)‐9‐(3‐diphenylphosphinyl‐phenyl)anthracene as a host material in the emitting layer and a hole‐blocking layer in deep blue OLEDs, respectively. By contrast, introducing a thin layer of this triphenylphosphine oxide moiety‐modified anthracene derivative as the hole blocker exhibits a maximum external quantum efficiency of 5.49% with CIE (0.126, 0.118) and in particular, high device stability with lifetime LT95 of ca. 540 h @ 1000 cd m–2.
5‐(6‐(Diphenylphosphinyl)‐2‐naphthyl)‐1,10‐phenanthroline (pPhen‐NaDPO) is reported as a promising n‐type charge‐generation layer in efficient and stable tandem OLEDs.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
