Abstract:In the title compound, [CuCl3(C6H16N3)]·H2O, the copper(II) ion is five-coordinated by two N atoms from the bidentate 4-(2-aminoethyl)piperazin-1-ium cation and three chloride ions in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. Intermolecular N—H⋯Cl and O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds build up an intricate three-dimensional network.
