Abstract:Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) can detect and quantify lipid accumulation in specific myocardial or peri-myocardial districts. Thirty-three patients (20M/13F; BMI 26±4 kg/m2; 64±10 years) with suspect of CV diseases underwent 1.5-T 1H-MRS using a water-suppressed chemical-shift imaging sequence to quantify the lipid profile of SEP, epicardial (EAT), pericardial (PAT), and subcutaneous (SAT) adipose tissues. The integral of the lipid peaks at 0.9, 1.3, 2.0, 5.3 ppm was measured as percentage ov… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
