49.3: Very‐High‐Resolution Displays: Productivity Gains in Word‐Processing and Spreadsheet Tasks

Abstract: We tested the impact of very high vs. high spatial resolution (∼200 vs ∼100 dpi) displays on user performance for common computer tasks such as text editing and spreadsheet use. We found advantages for the very high resolution display and for LCDs over CRTs.
