Abstract: Introduction: Saussurea lappa, traditionally known as Qust (Costus), is a perennial effective root, globally distributed across Himalayan region and has been extensively used for treating a variety of ailments for its antiulcer, anticonvulsant, anticancer, hepatoprotective, antiarthritic, and antiviral activities.
